MISSION STATEMENT

The Look Up Foundation is an innovative resource for children and adolescents to utilize while grieving the absence or neglect of family members, whether that absence is due to death, incarceration, mental and/or physical abuse, mental illness, trauma, or addiction. Our mission is to encourage and empower the next generation to overcome the negative circumstances they find themselves in, which are out of their control and not of their making. Our goal is to bridge the disconnect between medical techniques and a constantly evolving digital age by providing artistic, innovative, current and relatable tools they can apply to their daily lives when faced with negative situations and circumstances. We also intend to highlight how to avoid one of the most negative and detrimental things youth face today—social media bullying and access to instant online information, which can lead to a downward spiral in their recovery process. Our hope is to combine the online universe & artistic mediums (music, art, dance etc…) to then use as a positive means of communication to reach our youth at their level.
